YWCA of Sweetwater County provides services that are specifically targeted to meet the needs of our community with the goal of achieving its mission. These services include early childcare, preschool, advocate services for all forms of violence, violence prevention education, and free financial education classes.
Recently, YWCA was informed of a positive COVID case in their Early Care building and in result, two classrooms were closed through August 26th while students and employees quarantined. With fewer employees and limited funding, YWCA was struggling with finding time to sanitize the classrooms. Mandros Painting stepped up to the plate! Mandros Painting is offering sanitizing services throughout the community and therefore offered to thoroughly sanitize all 6 YWCA classrooms and Administrative offices. “During this time we can’t afford to pay for a cleaning service and because of our quarantine situation we have reduced staff. We were so grateful when Mandros offered to complete this project.” – Kayla Mannikko, Development Director.
YWCA is always seeking volunteers for various tasks and opportunities throughout the organization. If you or someone you know may be interested in volunteering at the YWCA please contact Kayla Mannikko, Development Director, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
