Things are getting back to normal in Sweetwater County. We help our 5K Run with the Badges Event at the end of April and even the weather cooperated. Last year we had to run the event solo so this year we were thrilled to get back together for the race. This is our first group event of the year and we were so pleased it went well.
Just over 100 runners & walkers joined the event, along with more than a few canines, for this family-friendly event. Representatives of all our law enforcement agencies came out to show their support for sexual assault awareness and prevention. Sweetwater County Sheriff’s department, Wyoming Highway Patrol, and Green River and Rock Springs Police Departments are pictured above.
This year’s event was hosted in Green River at the Island Pavilion. The event was not formally timed and everyone who completed the event was a winner in our book. Thank you for collaborating with our organization and for your continued support at our annual race! The run/walk raised over $3,000 this year and we couldn’t have done it without the help of you all and our amazing community members!
