Domestic Violence
"The batterer abuses the victim because the batterer has an abuse problem- period"
On average, nearly 20 people per minute are physically abused by an intimate partner in the United States. One in three women and 1 in 4 men have been victims of [some form of]physical violence by an intimate partner within their lifetime.

Sexual Assault
"Sexual Assault is truly a community problem. " ~ Linda Hebert
We need to listen to survivors when they gather the unspeakable amount of courage it takes to speak up and say "me too". We need to fight for the people who can't fight for themselves. Something has to be done to make a change.

Strangulation
Being strangled increases the risk of a future homicide by 7x
Strangulation is prevalent in domestic violence, elder abuse, child abuse, and sexual assault and is the ultimate form of power and control. An abuser is showing his victim that he has control over whether she lives or dies
