YWCA is always looking for ways to maintain the facilities we have for the long term. We plan to be here for another 30 years and we need our buildings strong and functioning to meet the community needs in the future.
This summer we have been working hard at getting landscaping in place. Due to our high desert climate of high heat and flash flood rains our front yard ends up with “rivers” of topsoil washing out into our parking lot. Stage one was the installation of our new sign to better identify YWCA to our clients. Stage two was completed with the building of a retaining wall by De Bernardi Construction and the City of Rock Springs. Stage three is coming soon with a completion of our landscaping utilizing drought tolerant plants and rock.
